FutureLearn is seeking a hands-on Data Engineer responsible for shaping and maintaining our data platform. You will collaborate with the data leadership team to create reliable, trusted data that supports better decisions across the business.
Responsibilities
- Design and model data in Snowflake using dbt Core.
- Build and orchestrate data pipelines with Airflow and Airbyte in an AWS environment.
- Transform spreadsheets and ad-hoc datasets into structured, reliable systems.
- Develop processes that enhance data trustworthiness, quality, and governance.
- Explore integration of AI into data workflows.
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience with Snowflake, dbt, and data modelling.
- Knowledge of AWS and data orchestration (Airflow).
- Familiarity with ETL tools such as Airbyte or similar.
- Python programming experience.
- Interest in AI, data quality and governance, including GDPR.
- Experience in SaaS, education, or training environments is a bonus.
