What is the opportunity?

As part of this role, you will be required to undertake online teaching and assessment with a particular focus on individual differences, personal tutoring as well as online dissertation supervision specialising in both quantitative and qualitative research methods. In the first instance the role is part-time (0.5) available until June 2026 but may be extended.

What you will bring to the table :

Essential

  • A PhD within a relevant subject area
  • Experience of teaching and learning within post-graduate Higher Education
  • Eligibility for Fellowship of the HEA
  • Excellent team working and communication skills
  • Experience teaching on BPS accredited programme
  • Experience of teaching individual differences and quantitative research methods
  • Experience of teaching and supervising dissertations

Desirable

  • Experience of and passion for online teaching and learning
  • Experience of dissertation / research project supervision
  • Experience of teaching and learning within post-graduate UK Higher Education
  • Membership or eligibility for membership of the BPS
  • Experience of the role of personal tutor
