We are working with a large organisation undergoing a significant data transformation programme and are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to help build and optimise a modern data platform powered by Microsoft Fabric. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-impact project where you'll combine hands‑on engineering with technical leadership to unlock valuable operational insights from enterprise data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver data integration, transformation and visualisation solutions using Microsoft Fabric.
  • Build and optimise Bronze, Silver and Gold data pipelines.
  • Integrate CRM, contact centre and other line‑of‑business applications into modern data platforms.
  • Develop and optimise Lakehouse architectures and semantic models.
  • Create intuitive Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions.
  • Implement data quality, governance and matching processes.
  • Contribute to engineering standards, documentation and best practices.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentor less experienced team members.
  • Collaborate with technical and non‑technical stakeholders to deliver business value.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • 7+ years’ experience in Data Engineering
  • Strong hands‑on Microsoft Fabric expertise
  • Deep Azure data engineering experience
  • Exposure to AWS and cross‑cloud integrations
  • Experience integrating enterprise applications, CRM platforms and contact centre solutions
  • Strong Power BI and data modelling capabilities
  • Experience building and optimising scalable data pipelines
  • Strong understanding of data quality and governance practices
  • Experience mentoring engineers and providing technical leadership
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
