We are working with a large organisation undergoing a significant data transformation programme and are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to help build and optimise a modern data platform powered by Microsoft Fabric. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-impact project where you'll combine hands‑on engineering with technical leadership to unlock valuable operational insights from enterprise data.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver data integration, transformation and visualisation solutions using Microsoft Fabric.
- Build and optimise Bronze, Silver and Gold data pipelines.
- Integrate CRM, contact centre and other line‑of‑business applications into modern data platforms.
- Develop and optimise Lakehouse architectures and semantic models.
- Create intuitive Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions.
- Implement data quality, governance and matching processes.
- Contribute to engineering standards, documentation and best practices.
- Provide technical leadership and mentor less experienced team members.
- Collaborate with technical and non‑technical stakeholders to deliver business value.
Essential Skills & Experience
- 7+ years’ experience in Data Engineering
- Strong hands‑on Microsoft Fabric expertise
- Deep Azure data engineering experience
- Exposure to AWS and cross‑cloud integrations
- Experience integrating enterprise applications, CRM platforms and contact centre solutions
- Strong Power BI and data modelling capabilities
- Experience building and optimising scalable data pipelines
- Strong understanding of data quality and governance practices
- Experience mentoring engineers and providing technical leadership
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
