Senior Data Engineer
Contract | London (Hybrid) | 6 Months | £500-£700 per day Outside IR35
We're partnering with a fast-growing technology business that is investing heavily in its Data & AI capabilities and looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to support a high-profile transformation programme.
This is an opportunity to join a modern data team working on large-scale data architecture, pipeline development, and the evolution of a cloud-based analytics platform used across the business.
You’ll work closely with engineering, product, and commercial stakeholders to design and enhance data solutions that enable better decision-making, improve data quality, and support future growth.
What you’ll be doing
- Designing and building scalable data pipelines
- Improving data architecture and modelling standards
- Developing integrations across multiple business systems
- Ensuring data quality, governance, and monitoring best practices
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver business-critical initiatives
- Producing clear technical documentation and knowledge transfer materials
What we’re looking for
- Strong experience building and supporting production-grade data platforms
- Excellent Python development skills
- Experience working with cloud data warehouses
- Strong data modelling and architecture expertise
- Experience integrating data across multiple systems and applications
- A passion for data quality, observability, and operational excellence
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Desirable
- Experience with modern ELT tooling
- Familiarity with orchestration frameworks
- Exposure to analytics engineering methodologies
- Experience working within high-growth technology environments
