Product Manager | Up to £390/day inside IR35 | Birmingham, Leeds or Newcastle
About us
We support a large UK public sector organisation delivering digital services that genuinely matter - the kind that touch millions of people's lives. Our teams work on complex, high scale platforms, and we're looking for someone who wants their work to have real impact, not just tick boxes.
About the opportunity
This Product Manager role sits within a cloud-based health data platform, bringing together an AWS application layer and an Azure data layer. The platform takes the infrastructure headache off delivery teams' plates - handling networking, cloud accounts, and connectivity centrally - so they can focus on what actually moves the needle. It's a live service that is constantly evolving, with new capabilities rolled out through discovery, framing, and test-and-learn cycles. You'd be stepping in at a point where there's real room to shape where things go next, not just keep the lights on.
Why this role is interesting
- You'll be working on something with genuine national scale impact
- Real ownership - you'll drive multiple technology backlogs, not just execute someone else's plan
- Regular exposure to senior stakeholders across a large, complex organisation
- A fast-moving, iterative environment where your calls actually carry weight
What we're looking for
- Solid product management experience in a technical/software setting
- A track record of building roadmaps and backlog priorities - and holding your ground with stakeholders when needed
- Comfort managing relationships across teams and departments
- Experience working in live-service environments with ongoing discovery and test-and-learn cycles
- The ability to break down technical complexity for non-technical audiences
What's in it for you
- Up to £390/day inside IR35
- High-impact, high-visibility work at scale
- Real autonomy and influence over technical direction
- Choice of base: Birmingham, Leeds, or Newcastle
- ASAP start
