I’m partnering with a globally recognised premium consumer brand to hire a Head of Product Design at a really exciting moment for the business. They’re in the middle of a major brand evolution and building a new mobile-first product experience launching in 2026. Digital is becoming central to the business, and design will play a huge role in shaping that. This is a hands-on leadership role - not a “reviewing slides from afar” kind of job. You’ll lead the design function, own the design system, and be deep in the work yourself. You’ll also have one direct report (mid-level product designer) and work closely with product managers, engineers and a highly respected brand/creative team.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading design on a new mobile-first product experience launching in 2026
- Designing mobile app journeys focused on conversion, retention and engagement
- Building and owning the design system across web and mobile
- Improving ecommerce and checkout flows to drive commercial performance
- Designing omnichannel experiences connecting digital and real-world touchpoints
- Collaborating closely with product, engineering and brand teams
- Shipping work fast and learning from real user behaviour
- Mentoring and developing one mid-level designer
What they’re looking for:
- Experience in consumer products, eCommerce or retail
- Exceptional visual craft and product thinking
Big plus if you’ve worked on:
- Subscription or membership products
- Premium consumer brands or lifestyle products
- International / multi-market products
Why this role is interesting:
- Major digital product launching in 2026
- Huge influence over the digital expression of the brand
- Ownership of the entire design system
- A leadership role where you still design every day
