Ready to step up on nationally significant projects? Our client is seeking a talented Senior Planner to join their high-performing London team. You’ll advise major clients across commercial, urban housing, retail and leisure—taking on real responsibility from day one and making a visible impact on complex schemes.
The opportunity
- Varied project portfolio: Lead on planning applications, appeals, site appraisals, planning strategies and development plan representations.
- Client exposure: Work directly with leading developers, occupiers, investment institutions, local planning authorities and public/third sector bodies.
- Influence outcomes: Shape strategy through all stages of the planning process, producing robust, insight-led advice.

What you’ll do
- Prepare, coordinate and submit planning applications, appeals and supporting documents.
- Undertake site appraisals and due diligence; identify risks, opportunities and mitigation.
- Draft planning strategies and development plan representations.
- Engage with stakeholders and authorities to negotiate positive outcomes.
- Present confidently—written reports, client briefings and committee-facing material.
- Contribute to bids, thought leadership and business development.
What you’ll bring
- Qualifications: 2:1 (or equivalent) first degree; ideally a Master’s in an RTPI/RICS-accredited subject. MRTPI (chartered) is expected.
- Experience: Strong track record across mixed-use/urban schemes with clear exposure to London planning.
- Skills: Excellent communication, analysis and report writing; sound judgement; ability to manage competing deadlines and solve problems proactively.
- Commercial mindset: Comfortable contributing to marketing, innovation and winning work.
