Responsibilities:- Assist nursing staff with completion of resident activities of daily living, bathing, dressing, oral care, and other basic needs.
- Perform vital signs on residents at beginning of each shift and as directed.
- Answer calls for assistance and observe changes in resident's behaviour, emotional state, or physical condition.
- Complete required documentation in a timely manner.
- Assist in transporting residents as needed.
- Provide companionship to residents.
- Ensure the safety of our residents.
- Assist with motivating residents to help keep them active and engaged.
- Maintain a clean and healthy environment.
- Must hold a current certification and GNA license in Maryland.
- Must possess a positive and professional attitude.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- Previous experience working in a skilled nursing facility is a plus.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to remain calm and patient when dealing with residents.
- Ability to listen attentively is essential.
- Ability to problem solve and work well under pressure.
- A willingness to navigate changes in assignments.
- Ability to show empathy and compassion while interacting with residents to increase their comfort level.
