Salary Disclosure Statement: The salary mentioned above reflects the potential base pay range for this role. Responsibilities:

• Ensure there are systems in place to facilitate the effective and efficient day-to-day operation of the Department of Nursing.
• Responsible for utilising the performance improvement process to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the Nursing Department.
• Monitor clinical data to ensure the facility is meeting the clinical needs of each resident and the clinical goals of the facility.
• Initiate appropriate and timely problem identification and problem solving in response to changes in clinical data.
• Routinely monitor census, resident acuity and staffing levels to ensure effective and efficient staffing patterns are in place.
• In the absence of the Administrator, responsible for oversight of the facility operations.
• Ensure there are systems in place to facilitate timely and effective clinical decision making regarding admission of new residents to the facility.
• Participate in the monitoring of patient referrals and actual admissions, identifying potential barriers to admissions and recommending solutions to accommodate additional types of patients.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
• Current Maryland RN licensure.
• Progressive management experience in a skilled nursing facility highly recommended.
