A growing and forward-thinking main contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Bid Manager to support the continued expansion of its social housing refurbishment division, specialising in cladding remediation and retrofit projects. This is a key strategic role where you will take full ownership of the bid function, leading the preparation, writing and submission of high-quality, winning tenders.
You will be responsible for coordinating and building the bid team across pre-construction, commercial, technical and operational departments to ensure a fully compliant and competitive submission. The business is experiencing sustained growth within the social housing sector, with a strong pipeline of local authority and framework opportunities, particularly across cladding replacement, fire safety works and energy retrofit programmes.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and write end-to-end bid submissions for social housing refurbishment projects
- Build, coordinate and manage internal bid teams and external contributors
- Work closely with operational, commercial and technical teams to develop winning strategies
- Manage bid programmes, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met
- Interpret local authority tender requirements and ensure full compliance
- Support pre-construction and client engagement activities
- Proven Bid Management experience within social housing refurbishment or planned works
- Strong experience bidding to local authorities (essential)
- Experience within cladding remediation, fire safety or retrofit projects (highly desirable)
