Mechanical & Electircal Maintenance Engineer in Hereford

Overview Reporting to the Maintenance Team leader, the role purpose is to operate within the Production Team as a Mechanical and electrical Maintenance Engineer working to planned maintenance schedules and reactive maintenance on machinery and electrical infrastructure within a steel fabrication facility.Responsibilities Maintain plant and machinery within the Fabrication, Bundling & Overhead Line Stores area maintaining machinery and general duties as required to support all OperationsMaintain both CNC and Manual equipment to fabricate steelworkOperate as part of a team undertaking tasks as requiredWork under a electrical permit system and approved safe system of workWork under a mechanical permit system and approved safe system of workWork as part of the maintenance team on proactive maintenance and breakdowns as required by the Team leaders and Fabrication ManagerCarry out weekly auidts for legionella testingWork safely at all times following risk assessments and work instructions and maintain a clean working environmentEffective repairs of the boiler systems and all preventative maintenanceEmbrace our Zero Harm approach to safetyPersonal Qualities and Experience Candidates must be positive and enthusiastic and support a \’can do\’ attitudeCandidates must be reliable and support a continuous improvement cultureWillingness to learn and embrace new ideasAbility to work as part of a team and be self-motivatedExperience in use on CNC milling to be able to make tooling for production use.Experience in the operation of overhead cranes and plantExperience in Forklift truck and telehandler operationsComputer literate to read Task sheets online training and safety documentation including wiring drawings and machine control schematics is desired.Experience and qualifications NVQ level 3 in electrical system and equipmentNVQ level 3 in mechanical maintenance and installation18th edition wiring regulationsESSW awareness trainingMSSW awareness trainingPAT qualificationNPORS counterbalanceNPORS Telehandler including 360 slewAsbestos awareness trainingFirst aid at working certification
