The Role
We are currently working with a well-established Civil Engineering specialist with a strong track record in delivering water infrastructure projects. They are looking to appoint an experienced Site Engineer to support the delivery of a long-term programme of works in Sussex. The successful candidate will be involved across wastewater infrastructure projects, with responsibility for setting out, quality control and supporting the site team throughout construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting out works accurately in accordance with drawings and specifications
- Carrying out site measurements and dimensional control
- Ensuring works are constructed to the required specification and tolerances
- Completing quality checks and maintaining QA records
- Reviewing drawings and specifications and identifying any issues
- Supporting the Site Manager and wider project team
- Liaising with subcontractors and site teams
- Producing and maintaining as-built information
- Assisting with inspections, testing and handover documentation
- Ensuring health, safety and environmental requirements are followed
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Site Engineer within civil engineering
- Experience working on water or wastewater infrastructure projects
- Strong setting-out experience
- Good understanding of quality assurance and site documentation
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Relevant engineering qualification
- CSCS
- Strong communication and organisational skills
