Future Build Recruitment are recruiting an Assistant Project Manager to work for a growing, medium-sized fit out and refurbishment main contractor delivering high-quality construction projects across a range of sectors including commercial, industrial, retail, education, healthcare and sports.
Due to continued workload and a high level of repeat business, they are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of projects typically valued between £500k and £5m. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in project management within a supportive, hands-on business that is well known for:

The Role
Working closely with a Senior Project Manager and the wider delivery team, you will be involved in projects from pre-construction through to handover. Responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the planning, coordination and delivery of fit out projects on site
- Supporting programme management, progress reporting and project documentation
- Assisting with subcontractor procurement, coordination and performance monitoring
- Supporting cost control, variations and commercial reporting
- Attending site meetings and liaising with clients, consultants and the supply chain
- Supporting quality control, health & safety and compliance processes
- Assisting with snagging, handover and project close-out
About You
We’re looking for someone motivated, organised and keen to progress. Ideally, you will have:
- 3+ years’ experience within a main contracting construction or fit out environment (Assistant Project Manager or Assistant Contracts Manager level)
- Experience working on projects in the £500k–£5m value range
- A construction-related qualification (HNC/HND/Degree), or working towards one (desirable)
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A proactive, hands-on approach with willingness to be both officer and site-based
- Good IT skills, including Excel and project reporting systems
