Contracts Manager – Main Contractor (Building Refurbishment & Construction) Location: South London Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent Are you an experienced Contracts Manager looking to take your career to the next level with a well-established main contractor in London? Our client is a trusted refurbishment and construction business with over 80 years’ experience delivering high-quality projects across public and private sectors, including residential, commercial, heritage, education, healthcare, and social housing environments. Role Overview As a Contracts Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing and delivering multiple refurbishment and construction projects from inception through to completion. You’ll play a key role in ensuring operational excellence, commercial performance and client satisfaction across all contract activities. Key Responsibilities * Manage all aspects of contract delivery, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, on quality and within budget * Lead contract administration, risk management, programme control and reporting * Build and maintain strong client relationships with internal and external stakeholders * Coordinate and lead multi-disciplinary teams including subcontractors and supply chain partners * Ensure compliance with commercial, legal, health & safety and quality standards * Review and authorise valuations, change orders, forecasts and final accounts Skills & Experience * Proven experience as a Contracts Manager or similar role within main contracting/refurbishment environment * Strong commercial acumen and contract administration skills * Excellent people-management and negotiation abilities * Knowledge of CDM, NEC/JCT or equivalent contract frameworks * Ability to multi-task, prioritise and maintain accurate reporting under pressure What’s on Offer * Competitive salary with performance-linked bonus potential * Professional development and career progression opportunities * A supportive, collaborative working environment with a strong reputation in the industry
