An excellent opportunity has arisen for an organised and proactive Bid Coordinator to join a highly respected, family-owned main contractor based in North East London.

Our client is an established refurbishment specialist with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects across a range of sectors. The business prides itself on its professional yet personable approach, long-standing client relationships and commitment to delivering projects to the highest standards.

With a strong emphasis on repeat business, quality workmanship and building lasting relationships, the company has developed an excellent reputation within the industry. Despite its success, it retains the close-knit, supportive culture of a family-run business, offering employees a friendly and collaborative working environment where their contribution is genuinely valued.

This is an excellent opportunity to become an integral part of a successful and well-regarded contractor, supporting its continued growth and business development activities.

The Role

The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing and coordinating the tendering process, ensuring submissions are completed accurately, professionally and within deadlines.

The position is primarily focused on bid coordination rather than bid writing, although some writing experience would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate incoming tender opportunities from initial enquiry through to submission.
  • Oversee tender documentation, ensuring all information, compliance requirements and checklists are completed accurately and on time.
  • Upload and submit tender documentation through client procurement portals.
  • Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to gather information required for submissions.
  • Monitor tender deadlines, chase outstanding information and ensure submissions remain on programme.
  • Prepare and update project case studies, company profiles and supporting bid documentation.
  • Maintain and update the company website with relevant projects, news and company information.
  • Track incoming enquiries, follow up on opportunities and maintain accurate tender records.
  • Support the company's freelance Bid Writer with information gathering and coordination.

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Bid Coordinator, Tender Coordinator or in a similar role within the construction industry is essential.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tenders and competing deadlines.
  • Experience using tender portals and managing bid submissions.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong written communication skills.
  • Confident liaising with internal teams, clients and external stakeholders.
  • Some bid writing, marketing or website content management experience would be advantageous but is not essential.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a highly organised, proactive and detail-oriented individual who understands construction tendering processes and can take ownership of bid administration and coordination.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a stable, established and highly regarded construction business that combines the professionalism of a successful main contractor with the personal touch and supportive environment of a family-owned company.
