A leading boutique investment firm specialising in Structured and Mezzanine Finance solutions for financial institutions and NBFIs seeks an Associate to support the execution of transactions and client-facing responsibilities in a growing team.

We are currently representing a rapidly expanding investment platform specialising in providing bespoke debt financing solutions—including mezzanine finance, subordinated debt, and structured credit—to a diverse range of UK-based financial institutions and alternative finance platforms. This role offers an exciting opportunity at Associate level for a transaction-focused professional. Working closely alongside experienced Directors and Senior Investment professionals, you'll be involved in all stages of the deal lifecycle, from initial due diligence and financial modelling through to deal structuring, credit approval processes, and completion.

Your responsibilities will include detailed financial analysis, credit risk evaluation, cash-flow and scenario modelling, drafting comprehensive credit papers, and preparing investment committee presentations. You will regularly engage with clients and external stakeholders, maintaining active communication throughout the transaction lifecycle, and play a central role in coordinating deal processes internally.

This role is highly suited to professionals with existing experience in Structured Debt, Mezzanine Finance, Specialty Finance, or similar transaction-focused environments. The ideal candidate will be analytically rigorous, commercially astute, and keen to develop deeper exposure to innovative financing solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Key Requirements:

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, particularly advanced Excel modelling capabilities.
  • Proven experience in financial analysis, credit risk assessments, and transaction structuring.
  • Familiarity with mezzanine debt, subordinated financing, structured credit or related financing structures.
  • Understanding of financial statements, cash flow analysis, and relevant credit metrics.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.
