As a Receptionist, your role is to provide a high quality frontline response to customer enquiries and act as the efficient interface with other departments throughout the company. Ad-hoc general administration and secretarial duties to support the wider business support team.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Reception area – man the front desk, ensure the reception area and the display of current Future Publishing magazines is tidy and up-to-date, including seating areas, the main reception desk and other magazine display stands.
  • Maintain stationery and refreshment supply for the building.
  • Client liaison/Welcome – provide an efficient, knowledgeable and professional first point of contact for all enquiries from visitors, customers, contractors, suppliers. Queries may relate to subscriptions, back issues orders, general product information, complaints and compliments.
  • Switchboard – handle 350+ calls daily: answer the main telephone promptly, politely and professionally and direct callers to the correct person/department.
  • Manage complex travel bookings, hire cars and train tickets, prioritising and handling high volume on short notice.
