An exciting opportunity has opened up for a Part-time Account Director to join the UK Commercial Sales Team working across the Schools Supplements on The Week and Country Life – two of our most prestigious and high‑profile media brands. Reporting to the Advertising Director, you will represent The Week and Country Life to schools and education groups across the UK, with a particular focus on the independent schools sector. Your goal will be to monetise our School Supplements, increase revenue, and build partnerships within this specialist market.
To succeed, you’ll bring an understanding of the UK private schools landscape – how this sector operates, what drives their communications and marketing decisions, and the dynamics of the wider private education sector. You’ll use this insight to sell advertising solutions that deliver Return on Investment for clients. You’ll work with the editorial team to deliver campaigns that connect The Week’s affluent readership with schools and education services. This role is supported by an advertising director located in London; while the role is geographically agnostic, you will meet in London when required. The role promotes remote working with weekly check‑ins with your manager.

- In‑depth knowledge of the UK private schools and wider education sector – ideally gained through experience selling to, working with, or within the independent schools market.
- Experience developing print, digital, and creative advertising solutions for clients.
- Excellent relationship‑building, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Confident presentation and proposal‑writing skills, with a consultative sales approach.
- A collaborative mindset, working well with colleagues across multiple functions.
