We're on the lookout for an incredible Senior Assistant Editor to bring fresh energy to our dynamic team.
You Are:
- A confident team player with the ability to work calmly under pressure with at least 2 years’ experience as an Assistant Editor or similar role.
- Fastidious in checking your own work and that of more junior team members; you will help maintain the high standards of the editing team.
- Able to assist the Producers & Head of Operations in the smooth running of the company by keeping good channels of communication & accurate time-reporting.
- Able to troubleshoot technical issues with a calm professional manner.
- Keen to learn new software and help evolve workflows.
- Pre-emptive and reactive to rapidly changing circumstances.
- Willing to learn and adapt as part of a small but growing team.
- A hard-working reliable team player who brings a positive attitude to work every day.
Responsibilities:
- Backing up and ingesting footage.
- Create interview and B-Roll selects.
- Prepare sequences for Editors to ensure the editing and post-production process operates efficiently.
- Supervise, assist and train junior members of the editing team.
- First line support for both technical and IT issues liaising with our support partners to ensure these are addressed promptly and reported to the Head of Operations.
Skills:
- Experience with media management.
- Technical proficiency in Avid Media Composer, Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve, Avid Nexis storage.
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud Software is preferable but not essential.
- Experience of offline and online workflows and practices.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Good intuition for structure, storytelling & the creative goals of a project.
- Experience in creating and supplying deliverables.
- Basic QC procedures and knowledge of technical standards.
