Do you enjoy getting real hardware and software systems working together – integrating, testing, troubleshooting and ultimately getting technology ready to operate in the field? We’re working with a fast-growing technology company developing autonomous and edge computing systems for demanding, real-world environments. They’re looking for a hands-on Integration & Deployment Engineer to take complete connected systems, bring the different elements together and make sure they’re ready for reliable deployment.
This is a practical engineering role where you’ll work across hardware, software, Linux, networking, compute and connected devices – diagnosing problems wherever they occur rather than being limited to one engineering discipline.
What you’ll be doing:
- Integrating and troubleshooting connected hardware and software systems
- Configuring and diagnosing networks – IP addressing, routing, switching, VPNs and connectivity
- Working hands-on with Linux, command-line tools, logs and system configuration
- Preparing equipment and systems for deployment into real-world environments
- Running structured testing and accurately recording results
- Fault-finding across power, compute, networks, peripherals and software configuration
What we’re looking for:
- Practical experience integrating and troubleshooting connected hardware/software systems
- Strong networking knowledge and confident Linux troubleshooting skills
- A methodical, hands-on approach to testing, integration and fault-finding
- Comfortable getting into the detail and solving problems across different technical areas
- Happy working from the office full time, with occasional travel
- Experience with edge computing, embedded Linux, rugged hardware, GNSS, cameras, sensors or connected devices would be particularly valuable.
- We’d also be very interested in people coming from aerospace, defence, robotics, drones/UAVs, telecoms or industrial systems.
Opportunity to work on genuinely cutting-edge UAV platforms with a growing, well-funded team. Broad, hands-on role with real ownership of the build and test process. 30 days' annual leave plus bank holidays – a genuinely generous allowance. Private medical cover on completion of probation. Employee Assistance Programme. Pension (NEST). Further benefits in development, to be confirmed shortly.
If you’d rather be hands-on with real systems, solving real integration problems and helping deploy technology into the field, this one is definitely worth a conversation.
