A ultra fast-growing, mission-led engineering organisation at the forefront of unmanned and aerospace technology are looking for a Senior or Principal Loads & Aeroelastics Engineer to act as a technical authority within a highly agile, multi-disciplinary design team. This is a key role where you’ll influence design decisions, shape technical direction, and support the development of next-generation aircraft platforms.

The Role

  • As a senior technical lead, you’ll take ownership of aircraft loads and aeroelastic performance across the full development lifecycle, including:
  • Leading development and validation of complex aeroelastic models
  • Predicting flutter and dynamic behaviour
  • Computing flight and (ideally) ground loads for complete aircraft structures
  • Producing and approving critical technical reports
  • Providing technical guidance and mentorship (Principal level)
  • Working closely with structures, systems, and flight teams

You’ll be central to ensuring safety, performance, and certification readiness.

What We’re Looking For

  • 10+ years’ experience in aerospace or defence engineering
  • Strong background in loads and aeroelastic analysis
  • Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or similar
  • Chartered status (highly desirable)
  • Proven modelling expertise (landing gear experience a plus)
  • Strong analytical and quality-focused mindset
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly
  • Experience working in fast-paced, evolving environments
  • Current or eligibility for UK SC Clearance
