Job Description
Design & Development Engineer – (Advanced Manufacturing / Robotics) – Bristol
We’re looking for a dynamic Design & Development Engineer to help deliver customer projects and drive forward our hardware and process development. This is a hands-on role where you’ll have a big impact, working across CAD design, prototyping, and process improvement. We are looking for an Engineer with strong communication skills, who enjoys working in fast-paced, R&D-driven environments.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Electro-mechanical CAD design for customer projects
- Designing, building and testing prototypes
- Developing new processes with multi-axis machinery, CAM and GCODE
- Assessing technology capability and implementing improvements
- Acting as a technical point of contact for customers and internal teams
Experience:
- Experience developing prototypes and refining processes
- Familiarity with electrical schematics, technical drawings, and a range of manufacturing techniques
- Solid CAD & CAM experience (Siemens NX ideal)
- Understanding of GCODE and CNC / multi-axis machine tools
- Hands-on assembly and troubleshooting skills
Nice to have:
*** Experience with wiring harness, surface modelling or freeform design***
