As a fast-growing, cloud-first SaaS platform, we’re driving major infrastructure change, and we want you to help lead it.
The Opportunity:
We’re embarking on a strategic cloud migration project, moving a substantial legacy application estate to the cloud. This includes migrating SQL Server databases and building purpose-fit VMs in the cloud. We’re looking for a hands-on Cloud Engineer who thrives on challenge, innovation, and ownership. You’ll play a pivotal role in planning, executing, and optimising a secure, high-performing cloud environment, leveraging native cloud services, automation tools, and best practices every step of the way.
What You’ll Do:
- Drive the migration of legacy infrastructure and applications to the cloud
- Build and manage cloud-native infrastructure on GCP (or similar platforms)
- Handle cloud storage, load balancing, block storage, and autoscaling
- Resolve performance issues and optimise reliability
- Collaborate across dev and ops teams to streamline workflows
- Monitor infrastructure health and implement alerting systems
- Support containerisation and orchestration initiatives
- Maintain documentation and ensure consistency across environments
What You’ll Bring:
- Hands-on experience with cloud migration (GCP, Azure, or AWS)
- Strong knowledge of virtual machines, databases, storage, and networking in the cloud
- Comfort working with both Linux and/or Windows environments
- Scripting skills in Bash, PowerShell, or Python
- Familiarity with Active Directory in Azure (nice to have)
- Proactive mindset and a collaborative, solutions-focused approach
