A Principal / Senior Loads & Aeroelastics Engineer is required for an ultra fast-growing, mission-led engineering organisation at the forefront of unmanned and aerospace technology. This role involves acting as a technical authority within a highly agile, multi-disciplinary design team.
The Role
- Leading development and validation of complex aeroelastic models
- Predicting flutter and dynamic behaviour
- Computing flight and (ideally) ground loads for complete aircraft structures
- Producing and approving critical technical reports
- Providing technical guidance and mentorship (Principal level)
- Working closely with structures, systems, and flight teams
You will be central to ensuring safety, performance, and certification readiness.
What We’re Looking For
- 10+ years’ experience in aerospace or defence engineering
- Strong background in loads and aeroelastic analysis
- Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or similar
- Chartered status (highly desirable)
- Proven modelling expertise (landing gear experience a plus)
- Strong analytical and quality-focused mindset
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly
- Experience working in fast-paced, evolving environments
- Current or eligibility for UK SC Clearance
