As the company continues to scale, they are looking to hire a Junior Firmware Engineer to join their Bristol-based engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with around 2+ years of commercial experience in embedded software or firmware development who wants to work on real-world robotics and automation systems within a highly innovative R&D environment.
Key responsibilities
- Support the development of firmware and control software for advanced automation systems
- Assist with calibration, control, testing, debugging, and validation activities
- Develop clean, well-structured code in C/C++
- Work closely with software, electronics, and hardware engineering teams
- Contribute to technical documentation and product development activities
What we’re looking for
- Commercial experience with C or C++ programming
- Exposure to embedded systems, firmware, electronics, or real-time systems
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Interest in robotics, automation, manufacturing, or advanced engineering technologies
Nice to have
- Experience with communication protocols such as SPI, UART, USB, EtherCAT, or Modbus
