Future Steps Occupational Therapy is looking for an inspiring Service Manager to lead our Services to Education team, someone who can combine strong leadership, service delivery excellence, and commercial awareness to grow services that make a meaningful difference for children and young people. Working closely with our multidisciplinary teams and education partners, you’ll drive high-quality outcomes, innovation, and service development.

Pay: £40,000 - £42,000 (pro-rata)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, term time (39 weeks term time + 1 week outside of term time)

Monday – 08:45 – 4:30 (remote working from home)

Tuesday – 08:45 – 4:30

Wednesday – 08:45 – 5:45

Thursday – 08:45 – 4:30

Friday – 08:45 – 4:30

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading and developing a multidisciplinary team (including Occupational Therapists and administrative staff) in a non-clinical capacity
  • Ensuring the high-quality delivery of community-based education services
  • Managing key contracts with schools, academies, and Local Authorities
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders and partners
  • Overseeing performance, safeguarding, quality, and compliance standards
  • Identifying new opportunities, driving sales, sourcing and completing tenders

  • Has strong experience in service or operational leadership
  • Supports the strategic development and continuous improvement of services
  • Is highly process-driven, with strong attention to systems and detail
  • Brings commercial awareness and identifies opportunities for growth and improvement
  • Leads teams with clarity, structure, and accountability
  • Is organised, proactive, and solutions-focused
  • Has a strong understanding of safeguarding, GDPR, and quality standards
