A privately-owned Water Hygiene / Legionella specialist is seeking an experienced and commercially-focused Water Hygiene Operations Manager to oversee a busy department. You will be an integral part of the Management team, ensuring successful delivery of full water services for clients, through effective team management, work allocation and client support. It is essential for applicants to have robust technical knowledge, in addition to strong interpersonal skills. Our client can also consider applicants located beyond the location scope, as long as you have a strong track record within the industry, and can hit the ground running. You will be joining a respected and successful name within the industry, with a strong presence across the South of England. Experience / Qualifications:
- Strong track record working as a Water Hygiene / Legionella Operations Manager
- Excellent technical knowledge (including: HSG 274, HTM 0401 and ACOP L8)
- Ideally will hold industry-related qualifications, including: City and Guilds (WMSoc) in Legionella Risk Assessing, NVQ Plumbing, Plumbing Diploma
- Confident leading teams of site and office staff
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- Proficient in using IT software
The Role:
- Overseeing a busy Water Hygiene / Legionella department
- Monitoring contract progress, ensuring deadlines and project scopes are adhered to
- Devising and implementing improved internal processes
- Leading team meetings to discuss incoming and ongoing projects and housekeeping matters
- Liaising directly with clients to discuss requirements and provide general feedback
- Highlighting any required areas for training within the team
- Identifying gaps in the business and new business leads
- Site audits and risk assessments before and during projects
- Contributing to the bidding / tendering process to ensure a high win rate
- Maintaining and fostering strong working relationships with clients
- Partaking in the recruitment process, interviewing candidates and on-boarding
- Training engineers and risk assessors
- Handling complaints and issues on site
- Conflict resolution
- Maintaining own personal technical knowledge
