Job Title: Legionella Risk Assessor / Water Treatment Engineer
Location: Leicester, East Midlands

Our client is a privately owned water hygiene company that is looking for a Legionella Risk Assessor / Water Treatment Engineer based in the Midlands. Candidates will hold a well-rounded experience undertaking a split of risk assessing, water treatment and service chemist duties, including sampling and analysis of steam boilers, cooling towers and steam boilers. Experience risk assessing on process water systems would be advantageous but not essential as training can be given.

Locations that are considered: Nottingham, Derby, Corby, Spalding, Boston, Lincoln, Mansfield, Northampton, Royal Leamington Spa, Coventry, Solihull, Loughbrough, Birmingham, Kidderminister, Dudley, Stourbridge, Stafford

Experience / Qualifications:

– Experience completing Legionella Risk Assessments ideally on domestic and process water systems
– Obtained the City & Guilds (or WMSoc) in Legionella Risk Assessing
– Working knowledge of steam boilers / cooling towers and closed systems
– Beneficial to have plumbing experience and qualifications like Level 2 & 3 NVQ
– Employed in a Water Treatment company undertaking various Water Treatment duties
– Applied knowledge of Health & Safety, ACOP L8 and HSG guidelines
– Adaptable to travel to client sites
– Proficient in IT and good literacy

The Role:
– Undertaking full and technical legionella risk assessments on domestic and process water systems.
– Writing in depth reports for clients that outline clear risks and provide technical advice
– Expertise in sampling and analysis of closed systems, steam boilers and cooling towers
– Basic Water Hygiene duties such as showerhead descales, flushing little use outlets, servicing TMVs, temperature monitoring and calorifiers
– CWST inspections with cleans & disinfections
– Travelling to domestic, commercial and industrial client sites
– Remedial plumbing like pipework adjustments, reinstalments and valve replacements
– Ensure work is done before the deadline
