We are recruiting for a multi-skilled and knowledgeable Fire Damper / Stopping Engineer in the Midlands region. You will be joining a respected name who specialise within the Ventilation / Compliance industry, who have a nationwide presence.

Applicants must be fully versed in BS9999 guidelines and will ideally hold the Fire Damper and NVQ Level 2 in Fire Stopping. Our client provides a diverse range of services and can offer fantastic further training / development for the right individual. Salaries and benefits packages are attractive, and include: company vehicle and overtime earning opportunities.

Ideally, you will be based around: Northampton, Daventry, Coventry, Rugby, Corby, Kettering, Redditch, Solihull, Stratford-upon-Avon, Worcester, Droitwich Spa, Kidderminster, Birmingham, West Bromwich, Stourbridge, Wolverhampton, Walsall, Telford, Tamworth, Lichfield, Cannock, Coalville, Leicester, Banbury, Evesham, Bicester, Milton Keynes, Buckingham.

Experience / Qualifications:

  • Experience working as a Fire Damper / Stopping Engineer
  • Will hold the Fire Damper Testing ticket
  • Ideally will be qualified with the FIRAS ticket and / or NVQ Level 2 in Fire Stopping
  • Good working knowledge of BS9999 guidelines
  • Confident using IT software
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills

The Role:

  • Inspecting and testing fire dampers, ensuring they are fully functional and compliant
  • Highlighting any required remedial works for existing dampers
  • Fitting fire curtains
  • Installing full fire stopping systems, including: mastic, batt, firestop blocks and fire resistant sealants
  • Compartmentation surveys
  • Completing regular service reports
  • Annotating existing schematic drawings and creating new
  • Adhering to safety guidelines
  • Working to set guidelines and project scopes
