We are recruiting for a highly knowledgeable Asbestos Surveyor / Consultant to cover contracts across the M62 corridor. You will be conducting the full range of asbestos surveys, ensuring to deliver thorough technical feedback and advice to clients. The role is within a UKAS accredited Asbestos consultancy, who have a stronghold in Yorkshire and the North West of England. For the successful candidate, they can offer fantastic training routes into further compliance fields. Salaries on offer are excellent and benefits include: company vehicle, overtime, pension scheme and annual leave allowance.

You will be travelling across: Leeds, Wakefield, Bradford, Batley, Dewsbury, Horbury, Morley, Huddersfield, Halifax, Brighouse, Normanton, Castleford, Barnsley, Keighley, Wetherby, Tadcaster, Rochdale, Oldham, Hyde, Manchester, Heywood, Bury, Wigan, Standish, Leigh, Warrington, Stockport, Altrincham, Blackburn, Chorley.

Experience / Qualifications:

  • Strong record working as an Asbestos Surveyor / Consultant
  • Must hold the BOHS P402 or RSPH equivalent
  • Excellent industry technical knowledge, including: UKAS and HSG 264 guidelines
  • Able to work independently on site
  • Flexible to travel as per company requirements
  • Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills

The Role:

  • Conducting thorough management, refurbishment and demolition asbestos surveys
  • Collecting ACM samples from site
  • Undertaking ad-hoc re-inspection surveys
  • Meeting clients on site to discuss survey findings and provide appropriate technical advice
  • Working across a variety of commercial, industrial and domestic premises
  • Leading asbestos awareness training courses
  • Producing detailed survey reports and schematic drawings
  • Maintaining strong relationships with clients
  • Training and supervising new surveyors
