Our client is seeking a knowledgeable Water Treatment Engineer, who has an excellent aptitude for analytical and technical tasks, such as: sampling from various process water systems and making technical recommendations to clients. Locations of work will sit along the M1, so easy access to the region would be ideal. You will be joining a privately owned Water Treatment outfit who have prestigious clients and a strong reputation. They are offering competitive salaries and benefits.
You will be covering sites across: Nottingham, Derby, Beeston, Castle Donington, Burton upon Trent, Loughborough, Coalville, Leicester, Nuneaton, Coventry, Rugby, Lichfield, Tamworth, Rugeley, Cannock, Stafford, Stoke-on-Trent, Mansfield, Matlock, Chesterfield, Worksop, Dronfield, Gainsborough, Lincoln, Grantham, Sheffield, Rotherham, Mexborough, Doncaster, Barnsley.
Experience / Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience working as a Water Treatment Engineer within a well-established outfit
- Fully versed in HSG 274 and ACOP L8 guidelines
- Ideally will have undertaken industry training courses
- Able to organise own workload and meet deadlines
- Good written ability
- Proficient in using IT software
The Role:
- Travelling across a mix of commercial, healthcare, public sector and domestic client sites to monitor and rectify any compliance issues
- Closed systems sampling and analysis
- Cleans and disinfections on cooling towers
- Water sampling and temperature monitoring
- Chlorinations
- Flushing on water tanks and other systems
- Calorifier inspections
- TMV servicing
- Acid descales
- Keeping accurate records of results and works that are undertaken
- Representing the company in a professional manner
