Job Title: Water Hygiene Engineer Location: Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Tyne and Wear Salary/Benefits: £25k – £36k + Training & Benefits Our client has recently won new contracts in the North East of England, and are seeking an experienced Water Hygiene Engineer who can hit the ground running. You will be responsible for conducting ACOP L8 compliance management duties on public sector and local authority premises. You will be joining a highly respected name within the industry, who can offer fantastic further training opportunities. They are privately-owned and have a friendly feel to the outfit. Salaries on offer are competitive and come alongside comprehensive benefits packages. Locations of work include: Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Gateshead, Blaydon, Washington, Sunderland, Houghton le Spring, Stanley, Consett, Durham, Prudhoe, Hebburn, Ponteland, Blyth, Whitley Bay, South Shields, Chester-le-Street, Spennymoor, Bishop Auckland, Seaham, Hartlepool, Middlesborough, Darlington, Yarm, Thornaby, Redcar, Guisborough. Experience / Qualifications: * Experience working as a Water Hygiene Engineer * Working knowledge of ACOP L8 and HSG 274 guidelines * Ideally will have undertaken industry training courses, such as: Cleans and Disinfections and TMVs * Flexible to travel when required * Hardworking attitude * Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills The Role: * Completing PPM water hygiene duties across a range of client sites * Showerhead descales * TMV servicing and failsafe checks * Tank inspections, cleans and disinfections * Closed system testing and sampling * Water sampling * Temperature monitoring * Keeping accure records of works undertaken * Maintaining high service standards Alternative job titles: Water Treatment Engineer, Legionella Operative, Environmental Service Technician, Legionella Technician, Water Hygiene Operative.
