Job Title: Water Hygiene Engineer Location: Durham, County Durham Salary/Benefits: £25k – £34k + Training & Benefits We are recruiting in the North East of England for an experienced Water Hygiene Engineer, to cover a range of local authority and public sector client sites. You will be joining an industry-leading company, with an excellent reputation and growing portfolio. Duties will include a wide range of L8 compliance tasks, therefore, it is preferred that applicants will hold a diverse skillset, however, training can be provided for hardworking individuals. Experience / Qualifications: – Must have experience working as a Water Hygiene Engineer – Strong technical knowledge, including: HSG 274 and ACOP L8 guidelines – Ideally will hold training / qualifications relating to the industry – Flexible to travel in line with company requirements – Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills The Role: – Travelling across local authority and public sector client sites, to ensure they remain compliant with ACOP L8 guidelines – Showerhead disinfections – TMV servicing – Cleans and disinfections on cold water storage tanks – Acid descales – Water sampling – Temperature monitoring – Updating site logbooks – Working to agreed deadlines Alternative job titles: Water Hygiene Technician, Legionella Operative, Water Treatment Engineer, Environmental Service Technician.
