Job Title: Water Hygiene Engineer Location: Woking, Surrey Salary/Benefits: £25k – £35k Training & Benefits Our client is recruiting for a motivated Water Hygiene Engineer, with a well-rounded skillset and hardworking attitude. You will be covering a range of client sites, from smaller commercial to larger local authority premises, ensuring water systems remain compliant with industry regulations. The role is within a well-established and reputable Water Hygiene / Legionella outfit, who have a strong presence across the South Eastern region. Experience / Qualifications: – Must have experience working as a Water Hygiene Engineer – Ideally will have undertaken industry-related training courses – It would be advantageous to hold experience with Cooling Towers and Closed Systems and plumbing / remedial experience – Working knowledge of ACOP L8 and HSG 274 guidelines – Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills – Strong interpersonal skills The Role: – Undertaking a range of ACOP L8 compliance duties, to ensure the safety of water systems across client premises – Showerhead descales – TMV servicing and failsafes – Inspections, cleans and disinfections of CWST – Basic flushing on little used outlets – Sampling from closed loop systems – Removing deadlegs – Routine water sampling and temperature monitoring – Producing regular service reports Alternative job titles: Water Treatment Engineer, Environmental Service Technician, Legionella Technician, Water Hygiene Operative.
