A highly successful and accredited Asbestos Removals specialist is recruiting for a commercially-minded Contracts Manager for their South East office. Our client is seeking someone with a strong track record and robust technical knowledge, who will be able to hit the ground running. It is preferred that applicants will hold the ARCA / UKATA, in addition to strong team management skills. The ideal applicant will have excellent communication skills in order to successfully lead teams of site operatives and ensure projects are delivered within agreed scopes. Our client has a strong reputation within the industry, and immediate plans for growth, as such, incoming team members will be expected to support new business development and will be responsible for identifying new client leads and opportunities. Our client is offering excellent base salaries and comprehensive benefits packages.

Responsibilities
- Being responsible for the successful delivery of licensed and non-licensed asbestos removal works for a mixed portfolio of client contracts
- Overseeing work allocation and planning of projects from start to finish
- Supervising teams of operatives and subcontractors, providing logistical and technical support / training
- Acting as a main point of contact for clients, answering queries and providing general daily support
- Troubleshooting issues on site
- Undertaking competency checks and making recommendations for training
- Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors
- Organising the ordering of materials, tools and equipment
- Ensuring teams have all required tools to complete works
- Promoting company services and identifying potential business opportunities
- Completing all required project documents and reports
- Attending sites prior to works beginning, to conduct risk assessments
- Producing detailed quotations and tenders for prospective clients
- Maintaining the company’s strong reputation
Experience / Qualifications
- Successful track record working as a Contracts Manager within an Asbestos Removals outfit
- Ideally will hold the ARCA / UKATA
- Will have obtained SMSTS / SSSTS
- Robust industry technical knowledge
- Excellent time management skills
- Confident in leading teams of site staff
- Ideally will have some sales / business development experience
- Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills
