We are recruiting in the South East for an experienced Health and Safety / Fire Risk Consultant, who will be able to provide a thorough and efficient service to a mixed portfolio of clients. You will be joining a busy and well-respected outfit who have a client base ranging from commercial, industrial, manufacturing and public sector. Applicants will need proven technical knowledge and excellent client-facing skills. They are offering attractive salaries and benefits to the successful candidate.

Our client can consider candidates who are based in / around: Watford, St Albans, Luton, Potters Bar, Enfield, Cheshunt, Harlow, Harrow, Wembley, High Wycombe, Dunstable, Aylesbury, Leighton Buzzard, Hitchin, Bishop's Stortford, Bletchley, Milton Keynes, Biggleswade, Braintree, Chelmsford, Welwyn Garden City, Hatfield, St Neots, Cambridge, Buckingham.

Experience / Qualifications:

  • Must have a successful track record working as a Health and Safety Consultant and Fire Risk Assessor
  • Will hold the NEBOSH General and Fire Risk Assessing qualifications as a minimum
  • Fully conversant in technical guidelines
  • It would support applications if you hold the IFE and / or IOSH
  • Professional manner
  • Good literacy and IT skills

The Role:

  • Undertaking thorough Health and Safety and Fire Risk Assessments across a mixed portfolio of client sites
  • Producing comprehensive site-specific reports
  • Providing a thorough consultancy service to clients, by answering queries and giving technical advice
  • Assessing existing health and safety plans and making adjustments and improvements
  • Undertaking accident investigations and recommending actions to prevent repeat occurrences
  • Attending initial meetings with clients to outline requirements
  • Delivering training courses to clients
  • Ensuring to keep up-to-date with any guideline changes
  • Maintaining and building strong relationships with clients
