We are seeking a dynamic Fire Damper Engineer in the Midlands region, who can undertake thorough Fire Damper inspections and testing in accordance with BS9999 guidelines. You will be joining a leading name within the Air Hygiene / Fire Control industry, who have a growing presence in areas of the UK. Candidates will need to be flexible to travel in line with client requirements and ensure deadlines are met or exceeded. Our client is seeking someone who is based in / around: Walsall, Wolverhampton, Dudley, West Bromwich, Birmingham, Brierley Hill, Marston Green, Solihull, Coventry, Nuneaton, Halesowen, Stafford, Cannock, Rugeley, Lichfield, Bromsgrove, Redditch, Rugby, Leicester, Hinckley, Melton Mowbray, Loughborough, Coalville, Burton upon Trent, Derby, Nottingham, Beeston.

Experience / Qualifications:

  • Must have experience working as a Fire Damper Engineer
  • Excellent technical knowledge of BS9999 and TR19 guidelines
  • Hardworking attitude
  • Ideally will hold confined spaces training and a valid CSCS card
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Comfortable using a PDA to complete reports

The Role:

  • Thorough inspections and testing of fire dampers in line with BS999 guidelines
  • Completing minor remedial duties and repairs to fire dampers
  • Undertaking grease extraction cleans
  • Inspecting of ductwork systems
  • Identifying system performance issues and making recommendations for repair
  • Producing regular service reports
  • You will be attending a mix of commercial, manufacturing, industrial and food & beverage client sites
  • Travelling in line with company requirements
  • Maintaining strong working relationships with clients
