Our client
Our client is a medium-sized Asbestos specialist outfit, who provide surveying and analytical services to domestic and commercial clients. They are seeking a switched-on and thorough Asbestos Lab Analyst to join their successful team. Applicants must hold the BOHS P401 as a minimum, and will be well-versed in technical guidelines. You must be based within a commutable distance to the laboratory, and will be confident working both within teams and independently. Experience / Qualifications
- Hands-on experience working as an Asbestos Lab Analyst
- It is essential to hold the BOHS P401
- Good understanding of UKAS and HSG legislation
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills
- Proficient using IT software
The Role
- Conducting bulk analysis of asbestos samples, through PLM and stereomicroscopy
- Logging and storing samples safely
- Maintaining laboratory equipment and organising any repairs / servicing
- Uploading results onto the company database
- Creating and issuing analysis certificates for clients
- Participating in quality assurance checks
- Working to agreed deadlines and personal targets
- Upholding high service standards
