We are recruiting on behalf of a well-known Asbestos Consultancy. They are seeking a professional Asbestos Consultant, who can hit the ground running. Applicants must have experience of working across a mixed portfolio of commercial, domestic and industrial sites. Our client is known for offering attractive, long-term development plans for hardworking and enthusiastic individuals. Experience / Qualifications:
– Proven track record working as an Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst, ideally within a UKAS accredited outfit
– Must hold the BOHS P402, P403 and P404 (or RSPH equivalents)
– Strong technical knowledge, including: HSG 264 and HSG 248 guidelines
– Good literacy and numeracy skills
– Proficient in the use of IT software
– Comfortable liaising with clients directly
The Role:
– Carrying out management, refurbishment and demolition asbestos surveys across a range of client premises
– Collecting samples from client sites for analysis
– Conducting 4 stage clearances and air monitoring, including: background, smoke, leak, personal and reassurance
– Ensuring asbestos abatement projects adhere to safety guidelines
– Producing thorough technical reports
– Working across a range of asbestos removals projects
– Meeting with clients to advise on findings and to provide project updates
– Working to agreed deadlines and personal targets
– Wearing correct PPE at all times
