Job Title: Asbestos Lab Analyst

Salary/Benefits:

£25,000 – £33,000 + Training & Benefits

Candidate Requirements:

• Must hold the BOHS P401 qualification
• Proven experience as an Asbestos Lab Analyst within a UKAS accredited company
• Strong technical knowledge including HSG 248 guidelines
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good IT and literacy skills
• Ability to work independently and in teams

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct bulk analysis of suspected asbestos-containing materials to confirm presence and type
2. Use PLM and stereo microscopy methods for analysis
3. Handle and store samples safely
4. Input analysis data into the company database
5. Issue certificates to clients
6. Maintain laboratory cleanliness and functionality, organize repairs/servicing as needed
7. Meet targets and deadlines
