Job Title: Asbestos Lab Analyst

Location: Harlow, Essex

Salary/Benefits: £25k – £32k + Training & Benefits

Due to continued company growth, our client is seeking a P401 qualified Asbestos Lab Analyst to join their team in the South East of England. Our client is a privately-owned outfit, who can offer tailored training and development support. You will be conducting the bulk analysis of asbestos samples, to identify the type of fibre. Applicants must have existing industry experience and will be expected to integrate smoothly into the team. Our client is offering competitive salaries and benefits packages.

Experience / Qualifications

  • Must be qualified with the BOHS P401
  • Strong experience working as an Asbestos Lab Analyst
  • Able to manage own workload effectively

The Role

  • Receiving asbestos samples into the lab for analysis
  • Using Stereo light microscopy and PLM methods to analyse asbestos samples
  • Safely storing and disposing of samples
  • Updating the internal database with analysis results
  • Generating analysis certificates and issuing to clients
  • Adhering to set personal targets
  • Keeping the laboratory clean and functional
  • Conducting quality assurance checks to ensure compliance with UKAS guidelines
