We are recruiting for a UKAS accredited Asbestos Consultancy with a strong presence in the North of England. Due to on-boarding new contracts, they are seeking an Asbestos Consultant to service clients based along the M62 corridor. The ideal candidate will have both surveying and analytical experience, however they are able to consider singular qualified applicants. Salaries are competitive and the benefits include: overtime and training opportunities.
You will be travelling across: Leeds, Bradford, Batley, Halifax, Huddersfield, Wakefield, Garforth, Selby, Goole, Pontefract, Wetherby, Otley, Harrogate, Ilkley, Burnley, Blackburn, Preston, Barnsley, Keighley, Rochdale, Oldham, Stockport, Wilmslow, Altrincham, Manchester, Bolton, Warrington.
Experience / Qualifications:
- Must have hands-on experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor, Asbestos Analyst and / or Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst, within a UKAS accredited company
- Qualified with the BOHS P402 for surveying roles, and the BOHS P403 & P404 for analytical roles (or RSPH equivalents)
- Fully conversant in UKAS and HSG 264 & 248 guidelines
- Excellent client-facing manner
- Good written and IT skills
- Flexible to travel as required
The Role:
- Undertaking management, refurbishment and demolition asbestos surveys across commercial and industrial premises
- Collecting ACM samples from site
- Conducting 4 Stage Clearances as well as leak, background, reassurance and personal air monitoring
- Writing detailed survey reports, including areas of risk and recommendations
- Meeting with clients to discuss report findings
- Supervising removal projects, to ensure works are conducted in line with safety and compliance guidelines
- Upholding the company's strong reputation
