Our established client is recognised within the water treatment industry as a leading player who provides professional water treatment services to a nationwide client base. They are currently looking for an experienced and committed Water Treatment Service Chemist based in and around the Stockport area to join their team. The successful candidate will hold extensive experience undertaking chemical analysis of steam boilers, cooling towers and closed systems as well as dosing of systems and chemical tank cleaning duties. Consideration will be given to applications from Stockport, Warrington, Crewe and surrounding areas.

Qualifications & experience:

  • Previous experience working as a water treatment service chemist.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Good working knowledge of water treatment/hygiene industry essential.
  • Competent with Microsoft Office package.

Duties of the role:

  • Carrying out chemical analysis on cooling towers, steam boilers and closed heated and chilled systems.
  • Carrying out maintenance on commercial, domestic and industrial water systems.
  • Carrying out dosing of systems, closed system flushing, water softener servicing and disinfection of systems.
  • Chemical tank cleans, temperature monitoring, cooling towers and chlorination – steam boilers.
  • Providing the full range of Service Chemist duties on an array of systems across a variety of sectors.
  • Carrying out flushing of calorifiers.
  • Ensuring Site Log Books are accurate and up to date.
  • Maintain a professional relationship with clients.
