Asbestos Surveyor / Removal Technician in Sheffield

Job Title: Asbestos Surveyor / Removal Technician.
Location: Rotherham, South Yorkshire.
Salary / Benefits £22k – £33k + Training + Benefits

We are recruiting for an Asbestos company with a strong presence in the Yorkshire Region. They are looking to take on a BOHS P402 qualified Asbestos Surveyor / Removal Technician. This role would suit a candidate who has experience in carrying out the full range of surveying services including re‑inspection surveys, alongside carrying out non‑licenced asbestos removal and disposal in line with client requirements. Our client is open minded on experience and would consider candidates with a few months experience in the industry.

Experience & Qualifications

• Experience working within the asbestos industry as a surveyor / removal technician.
• Must hold the BOHS P402 or RSPH qualification.
• Excellent knowledge of HSG guidelines.
• Familiar with industry relevant systems to produce reports.
• Excellent communication skills.

The Role

• Undertaking management, refurbishment, and demolition surveys.
• Assisting lead surveyors in refurbishment and demolition surveys.
• Safely preparing samples to be sent to the laboratory for analysis.
• Undertaking non‑licenced asbestos waste removal and disposal works as required.
• Carrying out re‑inspection surveys upon completion of work.
• Delivering asbestos waste to disposal facilities as required.
• Working in line with HSG guidelines.
• Ensuring to complete ASB5 notifications prior to non‑licenced asbestos removal work.
• Ensuring to update the exposure log.
• Using TEAMS / TRACKER to produce detailed reports.
