An established Asbestos Consultancy with a national presence carrying out the full range of asbestos services on Industrial, Educational, Retail and Leisure sites is looking to employ a BOHS P402, P403, P404 qualified Asbestos Consultant / Project Manager based in and around the Reading area.

Candidates will have extensive experience carrying out the full range of Asbestos Surveying and Air Monitoring services, alongside working closely with clients, advising on timescales and providing quotations for asbestos works. Previous experience managing asbestos projects and overseeing teams of site staff would be beneficial to the role. However, consideration will be given to Asbestos Surveyor / Analysts who are looking to develop into a Project Management role. The client is also happy to receive applications from individuals with an asbestos quality / technical background.

Applications will be considered from: Wokingham, Bracknell, Aldershot, Brentford, Twickenham, Swindon, Didcot, Basingstoke, Andover, Tidworth, Chippenham, Trowbridge.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Will hold a minimum of the BOHS P402, P403, P404 (or RSPH equivalent) qualification.
  • Have experience working for an established Asbestos Consultancy.
  • Experience working as an Asbestos Project Manager (Desirable).
  • Hold a strong working knowledge of Health and Safety legislations relating to Asbestos.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Experienced using PDA systems and related software.

The Role

  • Undertaking Smoke, Background, Leak, Re-occupation, and Personal air testing on a mixed portfolio of sites.
  • Management, Refurbishment, Demolition surveys.
  • Four stage clearances and visual inspections.
  • Providing clients with certificates of re-inspection.
  • Managing a team of site staff and delegating works.
  • Providing Quality / Technical managers with support when and as required.
  • Creating site specific RAMS.
  • Ensuring all work is being carried out in line with agreed timeframe.
  • Ensuring all work is being carried out in line with Health and Safety legislation.
  • Using PDA / TRACKER / TEAMS systems to produce accurate reports.
  • Providing clients with detailed consultancy advice.
  • Providing clients with reports, quotations, and tenders.
  • Building and maintaining excellent working relationships with clients.
