Due to further growth of the business, our client, a rapidly expanding and independent occupational hygiene consultancy, is presently looking for an experienced Occupational Hygienist based in the Portsmouth area. Applications are welcome from Fareham, Waterlooville, Chichester, Southampton and the surrounding areas.

Ideally, the applicant will be qualified and experienced, holding BIOH/IOA or equivalent qualifications with consultancy experience. Must come from a good educational and technical background and possess excellent communication, organizational, client-facing, people management, and IT skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertaking a wide range of occupational hygiene related projects such as workplace assessments – air monitoring, COSHH assessments, noise, fumes, dust and hand-arm vibration surveys, local exhaust ventilation (LEV) examination and testing, and indoor air quality.
  • Emissions Testing.
  • Site Assessments – Assessing Emission.
  • Collating the information to produce technical reports.
  • Building and maintaining a good working rapport with clients.
  • Managing the accounts appropriately and effectively.
  • Attending meetings as and when required.
  • Visiting sites designated by the client and dealing with issues effectively and appropriately.
  • Ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with Health & Safety procedures and legislation.

  • Must be flexible with regards to travelling.
