We are currently recruiting for a national Water Treatment Company, with a reputation for delivering water treatment, legionella, and water hygiene services to a professional and high standard. Our client is currently recruiting for experienced Water Hygiene Engineer / Environmental Service Technician to cover a mixed portfolio of contracts in and around the Hertford area.
The successful candidate will have previous experience working within a water hygiene operative, water treatment service engineer, or environmental service technician role. They will hold a strong working knowledge of ACOP L8, HTM 03-01, and HSG274 guidelines and have hands-on experience carrying out legionella compliance tasks to a varied site base. The client will consider a range of experience and will accept applications from candidates with trainee through to lead/consultancy level. Experience within remedial plumbing would be beneficial to the role but not essential. This is a home-based role covering contracts across the Home Counties / London area. Consideration will be given to candidates based in Luton, Bedford, Watford, Stevenage, North London, and areas with good access to the M25.
Key Duties:
- Undertaking temperature monitoring and sampling on cold water storage tanks.
- TMV Fail Safe Testing & Servicing.
- Flushing of outlets.
- Tank inspections / Surveys.
- Closed System analysis and dosing.
- Showerhead and Calorifier descales.
- Carrying out cleaning and chlorination on both hot and cold water systems and cooling towers.
