Due to acquiring new and prestigious contracts in the South East, this multi-disciplined organisation, who provides a wide range of professional services, including Asbestos, Health & Safety and Fire to a mixed portfolio of clients, is presently seeking the services of a smart, self-motivated and multi-skilled Fire Risk Assessor/Health and Safety Consultant based in London.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Must hold the NEBOSH Fire Certificate or NEBOSH Fire Conversion Technician status with recognised bodies – IFSM/IFPO/IFE would be preferred.
- Ideally, they are looking for an individual who comes from a good educational, consultancy and technical, Health & Safety background within the fire industry, although having experience in other industries would be beneficial but not essential.
- Must have an in-depth knowledge and experience of undertaking fire risk assessments on various properties, including commercial, industrial and public sectors.
- Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Must have good client-facing, people management and IT skills.
- Must be well versed with the Health & Safety procedures.
Key Role:
- Carrying out Health & Safety services such as undertaking Fire Risk Assessments and Health & Safety Risk Assessments in various industry sectors, including commercial, industrial and residential.
- Fire plan drawings, fire drills, fire warden duties, use of extinguishers, real fire training, briefings, delivering training courses, etc.
- Delivering presentations and training.
- Managing and developing the company’s client base.
- Providing Fire and Safety Guidance and investigating incidents.
- Producing fire risk assessment reports and ensuring compliance with the Health & Safety Legislation with regards to fire.
- Dealing with issues effectively and appropriately.
- Liaising with clients and management.
- Getting involved in training.
- Liaising with clients on a regular basis.
- Dealing with Health & Safety issues effectively and appropriately.
The successful post-holder will be of smart disposition, confident, flexible, methodical and have the ability to show competency in undertaking Fire Risk Assessments without supervision.
