Due to consistent growth and current business requirement, this expanding and prominent asbestos company with a good presence is actively seeking the services of a high calibre, self‑driven and commercially focused Asbestos Bid Manager in the London area.

Undertaking tasks such as managing registrations with the correct authorities/bodies to ensure receipt of relevant EOIs, PQQs and Tender notifications, managing the bid qualification process effectively and appropriately and completing the written proposals – preparing the management summary.

Consideration will be given to applications from Basildon, Dartford, Southend – on‑Sea, Maidstone and the surrounding areas. The applicant must come from a good educational background; ideally holding a degree would be beneficial. Must have significant experience in bid management, sales, business development, commercial, removals, and project and risk management. A good knowledge of the commercial sectors – asbestos, construction. Must have excellent communication, people management, organisational, presentation and leadership skills. Must be proficient in using the Microsoft Package.

Purpose of the Role

Identifying asbestos consultancy – looking for opportunities within the commercial, public and private sectors. Preparing and winning bids and at the same time taking responsibility for the bid process – end to end.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintaining registrations with appropriate authorities/bodies to ensure receipt of relevant EOIs, PQQs and Tender notifications.
  • Managing the bid qualification process effectively and appropriately.
  • Managing the bid inputs from stakeholders – sales, marketing, finance, technical teams, legal, etc.
  • Preparing and reviewing the technical side of the bid and ensuring that the quality side – submission is accurate, presentable and market‑leading.
  • Ensuring that client information is maintained and liaising to guarantee tenders are submitted accurately.
  • Working alongside Sales and Managing Directors to ensure that the technical and commercial aspects of the tenders are completed within the agreed timeline.
  • Completing the written proposals – preparing a management summary.
  • Delivering compliant and commercially sound bids – understanding and resolving various business issues – technical, etc.
  • Arranging post‑bid reviews and feedback with clients/customers.
  • Delivering continual improvement to tender documentation.
  • Maintaining and building a good relationship with the Marketing Manager and the company’s portfolio of clients.
